Many of the hotels these days offer packages like you get good deals on airfare and car rentals. Some also arranges discounts on local attractions.

Many hotels offer reward points. The more you stay, the more points you get. You can redeem these accumulated points. You may even get a free hotel room too. It all depends on the status of your membership. You sometime also get free perks like gift cards, room upgrades and travel package.
Room service
No need to go out for breakfast as you are on vacation and try to save time. Use the room service and order your tea and breakfast in the room.
Disadvantages of staying in rentals on vacation
Tiny space
You get tiny space in rentals compared to the big lawn of hotels. Your kids may not love it as they will feel caged in a small area.
Cleanliness
Sometimes the rentals are not so clean as hotels and you can’t imagine how many people have slept on the same bed.
Number of kids
If you have more than two with you, you may not be allowed for rentals as they are very particular about number of people staying. In hotels you may not usually see such problems.
