Volcarona and Larvesta Pokemon Go are now available. How can you capture Larvesta and evolve it into Volcarona? Can you also find a rare Shiny version of them? Let us learn more about it.
During the An Instinctive Hero event in Pokemon Go, a new Bug/Fire-type creature called Larvesta shows up. This also means that its strong evolved form, Volcarona, is now available for trainers.
Larvesta was first seen in the Unova region of Pokemon Black & White. We have all the information you need if you are interested in capturing Larvesta Pokemon Go, evolving it into Volcarona, or trying to find a rare Shiny variation.
How to find Larvesta Pokemon Go?
Currently, the only method to acquire Larvesta Pokemon Go is by hatching it from Eggs that have a distance of either 2km, 5km, or 10km.
However, there is a challenge – these Eggs might also contain different Pokemon, not just Larvesta. So, there is no assurance that you will hatch a Larvesta. This implies that you will have to work through as many Eggs as possible.
Unlike many other new Pokemon introductions, Larvesta is not found wandering around in the wild, appearing as a Raid Boss to battle, or given as a reward for completing Field Research tasks. This makes catching Larvesta quite a challenge.
How to make Larvesta turn into Volcarona in Pokemon Go?
To evolve Larvesta into Volcarona in Pokemon Go, you must gather 400 Candy. This evolution does not need any special items or tasks with a buddy Pokemon.
This evolution process is quite costly within the game, similar to how much it takes for Pokemon like Gyarados, Altaria, and Bewear to evolve. It is going to be even more challenging because Larvesta is only obtainable from Eggs.
We can offer the usual suggestions for collecting Candy: Designate Larvesta as your Buddy to gain extra Candy as you walk, and remember to trade in any Larvesta; you do not need to earn a small quantity of Candy in return.
Can you catch a special Shiny version of Larvesta Pokemon Go?
Unfortunately, right now, there is no Shiny Larvesta Pokemon Go. This means you will need to work with the regular Larvesta and Volcarona.
There is a chance that Shiny Larvesta might appear in the future, possibly during an event that focuses on Fire or Bug types. So, keep a lookout for that possibility.
