Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 has just arrived, and it’s packed with tons of new things to discover and enjoy.
In this latest update, players meet a new character who is now ready to join their adventures in Genshin Impact. This new character was already well-known in the game but was not playable before. In addition, there are three more five-star characters coming back in reruns. There is a brand-new area to explore as well. Speaking of which, this place is full of new quests, a tough world boss, and important story missions that connect to a new weekly boss. New Character: Arlecchino
In Genshin Impact’s latest version 4.6 update, Arlecchino makes her debut and is the highlight of the show. She is a 5-star Polearm wielder (also a Pyro unit) and arrives as part of the Fatui Harbingers.
In the game, Arlecchino is known as the strict yet secretive ruler of the House of the Hearth. Her debut brings a unique playstyle to Teyvat. This is primarily attributed to her ability to infuse Pyro into her normal attacks. Amazing, isn’t it?
This makes her an excellent DPS unit in Genshin Impact which is capable of enabling powerful Pyro reactions with sub-DPS characters like Xingqiu or Fischl. Moreover, Arlecchino also boasts a distinctive sprint ability that enhances her mobility and allows for swift movements across any battlefield.
New Character Quests
Update 4.6 of Genshin Impact not only introduces new characters but also expands the game’s narrative through intriguing new Character Quests.
The Arlecchino’s quest, for one, takes players to the House of the Hearth orphanage in Fontaine where they explore her potential departure from the region and a possible transfer of responsibilities to one of her children. This narrative thread, as you may have guessed, hints at deep-seated secrets and significant changes within the Fatui ranks.
The other quest’s storyline focuses on Cyno in the mystic lands of Sumeru. This quest delves into how the General Mahamatra acquired his remarkable powers, with appearances by key figures such as Cyrus, a sage from the Akademiya.
New Region: Remuria
With the Genshin Impact 4.6 update, the southern reaches of the Fontaine region have been expanded with the newly accessible Petricor Island, atop the ancient Remuria ruins. Here, players can engage with unique musical exploration mechanics, guided by a talking cat.
For those unaware, this adventure connects to Arlecchino’s quest, culminating in a new weekly boss fight against The Knav and thus offering a challenging two-phase battle that tests players’ strategies and combat skills.
New Events and Quality-Of-Life Updates
Last but not least, Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 also brings a series of new in-game events.
The highlight here is a vibrant rock and roll tour event organized by Arataki Itto, alongside Dvorak from the 2023 Lantern Rite Festival. In this event, players dive into a musical adventure, participating in activities like playing instruments, collecting materials, and recruiting additional musicians through a fun mini-game. What’s more? Successful participants are rewarded with the new Nightwind Horn musical instrument, a free character, Gorou, and valuable in-game materials, including Primogems!
In addition, the Windtrace event returns with updated mechanics to the classic hide-and-seek format. Additionally, the Vibro-Crystal Applications battle event has also made a comeback which offers players new buff combinations and a roster of trial characters for crafting dynamic team compositions.
And just like that, Version 4.6 also introduces the Specially-Shaped Saurian Search, challenging players to battle diverse bosses with adjustable difficulty settings for better rewards. The Overflowing Mastery event promises double the Talent Books from farming Domains for a limited time, improving character skill enhancements.
